The Triund ridge facing the Dhauladhar range

Triund Trek

The classic Dharamshala hike to a grassy ridge facing the snow peaks of the Dhauladhar.

Triund is the region’s most loved trek. The trail climbs through oak and rhododendron forest to an open ridge at around 2,800 m, with sweeping views of the Dhauladhar range on one side and the Kangra valley on the other.

Most fit walkers do it as a day hike; others camp overnight for sunset and sunrise. Start early, carry water and warm layers, and check the weather before you go. We can help you arrange a local guide.
